Role Overview

SupportSages is seeking a Junior Linux System Engineer to join our evolving DevOps team. This role involves providing essential support for cloud implementation services and server management, working closely with mentors to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

Provide live chat support.
Monitor servers and networks and escalate to the corresponding department.
Provide basic customer support through ticketing system.
Carry out tasks under the supervision of a mentor.
Work in a Red Hat Linux (RHEL) environment.
Identification of various server issues and act according to the guidelines.
Documentation of issues.

Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle English language as if it is your first language.
General knowledge of Networking, Hardware, software.
Proficient in Linux (Red Hat–based systems preferred).
Good Knowledge on Web server, Mail server, DNS, FTP, SSH (Thorough knowledge on Apache and DNS will fetch you the job).
Good understanding about usage and purpose of Firewalls.
Good Team player - Able to work independently and well on a team.
Willingness to share your knowledge with your colleagues.
Passion to excel in whatever you do.
Creative thinking and ability to 'think outside the box' are ESSENTIAL.

Qualification: BCA, BTech, MCA
