Role Overview

We are hiring a Junior Backend Developer (Node.js) in India who is eager to grow and ready to work professionally in a structured remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain REST APIs using Node.js.
Implement features from tickets and specifications.
Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver integrated solutions.
Work with databases including schema updates, queries, and performance basics.
Fix bugs, handle edge cases, and improve existing code.
Work with Git, pull requests, and structured code reviews.
Provide short daily updates and log time daily (Clockify).

Who We’re Looking For

1.5–2+ years of real company experience (employment or contract, not only personal projects).
Strong desire to learn quickly and grow in backend engineering.
Comfortable using developer productivity tools (e.g., Cursor or similar IDE assistants) while maintaining code quality.
Reliable, responsible, and communicates clearly.

Must-Have Requirements

1.5–2+ years of backend development experience in a real company.
Node.js experience in production (Express or NestJS is a plus).
Strong fundamentals in API design, authentication basics, validation, error handling, and debugging.
SQL experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL) with basic database design understanding.
Git knowledge with basic pull request workflow.
Good English writing skills for async collaboration.
Ability to follow specifications and ask clarifying questions early.

Nice-to-Have

ORM experience (Prisma, Sequelize, or TypeORM).
Experience with Redis, queues, or background jobs.
Basic knowledge of Docker.
Unit or integration testing experience (Jest).
