Role Overview

Adobe is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Reliability / Infrastructure Engineer to help build and maintain highly reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with development and SRE teams to ensure application reliability, operational efficiency, and robust system performance.

You will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, automating operational processes, implementing monitoring and observability solutions, and maintaining security and compliance standards. This role requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, infrastructure automation, and system monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure and Operations

Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and availability.
Respond to production incidents and system alerts in a timely manner.
Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures.
Design and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on AWS.
Implement automated failover and disaster recovery mechanisms.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Work extensively with container orchestration technologies such as ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes.
Perform operating system patching, updates, and system upgrades.

Monitoring and Observability

Configure and manage monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, and Splunk.
Analyze system performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities.
Create dashboards and alerts for proactive system monitoring.
Automate responses to system issues where applicable.

Automation and Tooling

Develop automation tools and scripts using Python and Bash.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
Create self-service tools for development teams.
Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Security and Compliance

Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
Manage IAM roles, policies, and security groups.
Ensure compliance with Adobe security standards and policies.
Participate in security audits and vulnerability remediation processes.

Collaboration and Documentation

Work closely with development teams and SRE members to improve application reliability.
Document system architectures, processes, and operational procedures.

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, MSK, and SageMaker.
Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns and best practices.
Experience with multi-region and multi-availability zone deployments.
Deep knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms.
Understanding of container networking, storage, and security principles.
Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience using version control systems such as Git.
Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
Understanding of infrastructure automation principles.
Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and CDN.
Experience with SSL/TLS certificates, encryption, and network security.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Argo.
Experience with configuration management tools like Chef.
Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
