Role Overview

IBM is seeking a talented Front-End Developer who is passionate about creating intuitive, secure, and scalable user interfaces using modern web technologies. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, backend developers, and product teams to deliver high-quality web applications.

The position focuses on developing responsive interfaces, integrating APIs, and ensuring that front-end systems are performant, secure, and optimized for cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using JavaScript, React, and related technologies.
Collaborate with backend developers and designers to integrate APIs and deliver seamless user experiences.
Ensure front-end applications meet high standards of security, performance, and scalability in cloud environments.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following development best practices.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proficiency in JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and secure API integration.
Experience working in cloud-based environments.
Knowledge of frontend security practices including authentication, secure data handling, and input validation.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with programming languages such as Python or Go.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native frontend deployment strategies.
Knowledge of cloud security principles and their application to frontend development.
Exposure to artificial intelligence or machine learning concepts and integration of AI-powered features.
Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
