Role Overview

The Associate Software Engineer is an entry-level role focused on developing high-quality software solutions under the guidance of senior engineers. This position emphasizes writing clean, maintainable code, learning established development practices, and building strong technical foundations in software engineering.

You will actively contribute to team projects, participate in agile processes, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and learning.

Key Responsibilities

Write clean, maintainable code following established coding standards.
Implement bug fixes and small to medium-sized features under supervision.
Develop unit tests to ensure reliability and code quality.
Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve development practices.
Collaborate with senior engineers on technical design and implementation strategies.
Engage in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Document technical solutions and contribute to project documentation.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across development and testing environments.
Follow version control and established software development processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement of team practices and workflows.
Ensure adherence to corporate policies, including the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
0–2 years of professional software development experience.
Strong academic foundation or relevant internship experience.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar).
Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
Basic knowledge of databases, web technologies, and version control systems.
Familiarity with software testing principles and AI-assisted coding tools.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with agile methodologies.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
