Role Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will design and develop software solutions for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets built on cutting-edge technologies. This role offers exposure to embedded systems, multimedia stacks, wireless modem technologies, and platform-level software across Android, Linux, and Windows environments.

The position is ideal for energetic, creative, and self-driven engineers who are passionate about system-level programming, real-time embedded development, and next-generation connectivity solutions.

Technology Areas

Multimedia technologies including Audio, Video codecs, and Image Processing.
Wireless modem technologies such as 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Self-Organizing Networks.
Platform-level software including Linux, Android, Windows, and Board Support Packages (BSP).
IoT technologies for connected cameras, smart assistants, drones, virtual and augmented reality.

Key Responsibilities

Develop real-time embedded software and device drivers.
Contribute to mobile software development for Android, Windows, or Linux platforms.
Design and develop software using C/C++ and object-oriented programming principles.
Work on Linux/UNIX systems, kernel development, and driver development.
Develop and maintain communication protocol stacks (TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP).
Contribute to wireless network technologies including CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE.
Participate in multimedia stack, firmware, and driver development.
Collaborate in architecture design for embedded platforms.
Work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, ECE, Communication Engineering, or related field.
Strong understanding of operating systems, data structures, and embedded systems concepts.
Proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented design principles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
