Role Overview

The Product Integration Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of scalable MongoDB data models and integrations within high-volume transactional systems, likely within the Banking domain. This role requires strong expertise in NoSQL data modeling, query optimization, and integrating MongoDB with microservices and APIs.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable MongoDB data models for banking/product systems.
Develop and optimize queries, aggregations, and indexing strategies for high performance.
Build and integrate MongoDB with microservices and APIs.
Monitor database performance and tune queries, collections, and indexes.
Handle large datasets and ensure high throughput and low latency.
Conduct performance testing and troubleshoot production issues.
Integrate MongoDB with core banking systems, middleware/API layers, and event streaming systems (e.g., Kafka).
Support data migration and modernization initiatives.
Troubleshoot issues raised by customers/production teams.
Maintain technical documentation (schemas, APIs, performance reports).
Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices.
Collaborate with Business Analysts/Customers to understand requirements and translate them into low-level design and code.
Coordinate between onsite and offshore teams.
Performance reviews of system performance and fixing any glitches.
Developing reports and data extracts.

Requirements

Strong hands-on expertise in MongoDB (Development + Administration).
Experience in MongoDB schema design & optimization.
Experience with NoSQL data modeling and indexing strategies.
Experience in Query performance tuning and aggregation pipelines.
Working knowledge of Java / Spring Boot-based backend services.
Working knowledge of Microservices architecture.
Working knowledge of REST APIs and JSON-based integrations.
Experience with high-volume transactional systems / Banking domain (preferred).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
Exposure to Containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) (good to have).
Strong NoSQL concepts and distributed database design.
Knowledge of data consistency and replication.
Experience in event-driven architecture / API integrations.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Product, BA, Ops).
Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
Domain Preference: Banking / Financial Services (Core Banking, Payments, Digital Banking).
