Job Purpose and Impact

The Professional, Software Engineering role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and systems that support business operations and customer solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new software features, enhance existing systems, and ensure software performance and scalability.

With limited supervision, you will contribute to building global software solutions that support the agriculture industry, helping deliver innovative technologies that create meaningful impact for customers and their animals worldwide.

Key Accountabilities

Software Development

Partner with engineering teams to design and develop high-quality software solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to support scalable applications.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of existing software systems.

Automation

Apply internal software deployment platforms, methodologies, and tools to automate the deployment process.
Ensure reliable and efficient software releases through automated workflows.

Collaboration

Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to gather requirements.
Translate moderately complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and knowledge sharing.

Testing & Debugging

Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure software quality.
Troubleshoot and debug moderately complex issues to maintain system reliability.
Ensure software functionality and performance meet defined standards.

Continuous Improvement

Suggest improvements to software development and deployment processes.
Implement approved development standards and best practices to increase efficiency.

Documentation

Create and maintain documentation for software applications, deployment processes, and system configurations.
Ensure documentation is updated and accessible to development teams.

Technical Support

Provide technical support for deployed applications.
Troubleshoot moderately complex production issues and ensure timely resolution.
Work to minimize downtime and maintain application reliability.

Qualifications

Experience working with React, including hooks, context API, and state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Strong experience with C# and .NET Framework or .NET Core.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or Moq.
Familiarity with common design patterns including Repository, Factory, and Strategy.
Experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
Ability to write queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and message-based systems.
Experience working with relational databases and data access libraries such as Entity Framework or Dapper.
Knowledge of ReactJS and modern front-end development practices.
Proficiency with Git including branching, merging, pull requests, and version control workflows.
Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Serilog or Application Insights.
Understanding of asynchronous programming in .NET environments.
