Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe DevOps Migration Specialist to support a large-scale modernization and migration initiative. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong mainframe application development background and hands-on experience implementing modern DevOps practices within IBM z/OS environments.

Responsibilities

Support a large-scale modernization and migration initiative.
Implement modern DevOps practices within IBM z/OS environments.
Utilize Git-based source control and repository management.
Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment issues.
Articulate the Git/DBB lifecycle and DevOps best practices.
Participate in enterprise-scale migration and deployment projects.

Requirements

Strong experience with IBM z/OS and Unix System Services (USS).
Expertise in Git-based source control and repository management.
Experience in CA Endevor.
Proficiency in YAML and Groovy scripting.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment troubleshooting.
Experience with Git branching strategies and migration projects.
Ability to articulate the Git/DBB lifecycle and DevOps best practices.
Strong application development or system programming background.
Proven installation, migration, and implementation experience in enterprise mainframe environments.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Secondary requirement: Hands-on experience with IBM Dependency Based Build (DBB).
Secondary requirement: Experience with IBM Wazi Deploy / IDE.
Preferred Experience: Mainframe modernization initiatives, DevOps transformation programs, Enterprise-scale migration and deployment projects.
