Job Roles & Responsibilities

Develop user-facing React Native features and mobile app flows for Swiggy’s consumer products with strong attention to performance, usability, and maintainable implementation. Translate product and design requirements into clean, reusable React Native components while ensuring technical feasibility, pixel-level UI detail, and consistent behavior across Android devices. Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, QA, and senior engineers to understand specifications, discuss trade-offs, and deliver features through the full development cycle. Build reusable code, integrate supplementary libraries, manage state and asynchronous flows, debug third-party library behavior, and improve app speed, scalability, and reliability. Contribute to engineering best practices through Git workflows, linted code, maintainable patterns, unit tests, and continuous improvement of the team’s React Native codebase.

Ideal Candidate Profile

1 to 3 years of professional software engineering experience with strong hands-on React Native development and a clear grasp of React fundamentals. Working knowledge of Android native development, Android device behavior, mobile app constraints, and the practical details needed to ship polished Android experiences. Strong understanding of modern JavaScript, ES6 and above, and TypeScript, with the ability to write clean, reusable, maintainable, and linted code. Exposure to state-management or supplementary libraries such as Redux, Redux Saga, Zustand, Lerna, or similar tools is a strong advantage for this role. Comfort with Git and test-driven development practices, including unit testing with Jest, React Native Testing Library, or comparable mobile testing tools.
