UX Engineer — Design Systems & Frontend

Role Overview

We are looking for a UX Engineer to take ownership of our design system and shared UI patterns, working at the intersection of Design, Product, and Frontend Engineering. You will build and maintain reusable components, primitives, and interaction patterns to ensure design intent is accurately translated into production, specifically within a regulated healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Treat the design system as a product by owning components, patterns, and usage guidelines.
• Design and maintain reusable UI primitives and interaction patterns.
• Identify and resolve frontend UX debt and inconsistencies.
• Build coded prototypes for complex, data-heavy, or AI-driven workflows.
• Improve motion, responsiveness, and mobile experiences.
• Collaborate with Design and Product during discovery to ensure technical feasibility.
• Ship production-quality code and contribute to frontend architecture decisions.

Requirements

• Strong frontend engineering skills with a track record of shipping production UI.
• Hands-on experience building or scaling design systems and component libraries.
• Expertise in interaction design, usability, accessibility, and visual polish.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience building products in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or insurance.
