Role Overview
We're looking for an engineer who is genuinely fluent with today's AI platforms — not just an occasional ChatGPT user, but someone who builds with them. You'll design, ship and babysit AI agents and the applications around them: writing the Python that powers them, building the interfaces people actually use, and debugging the strange failures that only show up in production at 3 AM. This is a night shift position (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM IST) to overlap with US/EU clients, offering real ownership and autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy and maintain AI agents and LLM-powered features end to end — prompting, tool/function calling, retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails
- Write clean, production-grade Python for backend services, data pipelines and agent orchestration
- Develop full stack features: APIs on the backend, responsive interfaces on the frontend
- Integrate third-party AI platforms and APIs (Claude, OpenAI, open-source models)
- Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to move fast
- Monitor systems during the night window, triage incidents, and resolve or escalate
- Prototype quickly, measure, and iterate as requirements and models change
- Document what you build for seamless day-shift handovers
Requirements
- Strong Python proficiency
- Hands-on experience with AI platforms and LLM APIs: prompt design, function/tool calling, RAG, embeddings, vector stores
- Working knowledge of AI agent frameworks and AI coding agents
- Full stack capability: REST APIs, databases, and a modern frontend framework (React / Next.js / Vue)
- Git, and comfort with cloud deployment (AWS / GCP / Azure) and Docker
- Genuine problem-solving instinct and adaptability
- Willingness and ability to commit to a permanent night shift schedule
- Clear written English for asynchronous communication
Skills
- Python
- React.js
- AWS
- Docker
- LLM APIs
Nice to Have
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, MCP)
- Evaluation and observability for LLM systems (tracing, eval harnesses, cost/latency tuning)
- Fine-tuning, model serving, or working with open-weight models
- CI/CD, testing discipline, and basic security awareness
- Prior experience working a night or on-call shift for an international team
