Role Overview
A QA Engineer (Quality Assurance Engineer) is responsible for implementing the organization's quality procedures at the material, production, assembly, packing, and installation stages, identifying defects, maintaining quality records, and driving corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections according to approved quality procedures and checklists.
- Monitor quality at each critical manufacturing stage including Cutting, CNC, Edge Banding, Drilling, Assembly, and Finishing.
- Inspect incoming materials such as MDF/HDF, Laminates, Hardware, and Adhesives.
- Verify products against approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify and record non-conforming products and raise NCRs.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis.
- Conduct site and installation quality inspections.
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation including CAPA records and inspection reports.
- Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Train operators on quality requirements and promote "Right First Time" manufacturing.
