Software Engineer - II(Java)

Role Overview

AbhiBus, owned by ixigo, is a leading online bus-ticketing platform aggregating inventory from over 4,000 operators. We are looking for a Software Engineer - II (Java) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and high-performance distributed systems, while integrating modern AI and LLM capabilities into our core engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build high-performance distributed systems using Java/J2EE.
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable code with proper unit and automation tests.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams.
• Integrate generative AI and LLMs into backend services using frameworks like Spring AI or LangChain4j.
• Design and implement RAG workflows using Vector Databases.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and React.
• Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Knowledge of multithreading, memory management, and system design.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Strong SQL skills including window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and RESTful Web Services.

Nice to Have

• Experience using AI-powered development tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.).
• Understanding of prompt engineering and token optimization.
• Experience with cloud-native development, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
