Cloud Operations Engineer

Role Overview

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will oversee and manage cloud infrastructure environments by handling various technologies such as operating systems, databases, and virtual networks. The role includes executing scripts and automating monitoring processes to ensure smooth operations, addressing incidents with a primary focus on restoring services promptly, and providing operational support for computing, networking, storage, security, and automation components.

Responsibilities

• Perform independently and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Actively participate and contribute to team discussions and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud infrastructure performance and reliability.
• Continuously monitor system health and proactively identify potential issues to minimize downtime.
• Document operational procedures and incident resolutions to support knowledge sharing.
• Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support.
• Manage the rollout of patches and release management schedules.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Azure PaaS.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure management including operating systems, databases, and virtual networks.
• Strong skills in scripting and automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to cloud services.
• Familiarity with security best practices and incident management frameworks.
