Role Overview
Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. As an Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining embedded software for automotive systems. You will work closely with system engineers, software architects, hardware teams, and QA engineers to develop, integrate, test, and deliver reliable, high-quality embedded software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C/C++.
- Analyze software requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and integrate software components for automotive ECUs.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot software issues using appropriate debugging and analysis tools.
- Collaborate with hardware and system teams for software-hardware integration.
- Support software integration, verification, and release activities.
- Follow coding standards and development processes such as MISRA and ASPICE.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
- Maintain technical documentation and software development artifacts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Strong hands-on programming experience in C/C++.
- Good understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, memory management, interrupts, and real-time concepts.
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive is preferred.
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, and UDS is an advantage.
- Experience with RTOS and embedded Linux is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, GDB, Lauterbach, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, and software configuration management.
- Experience with unit testing and static code analysis tools.
- Good understanding of SDLC, ASPICE, MISRA, and automotive software development processes.
- Experience with ECU software development, integration, and testing.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 / Functional Safety is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good analytical and logical thinking.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
