Role Overview
Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining automation solutions for automotive testing and simulation environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop HIL hardware driver abstraction layers to enable standardized and reusable interfaces.
- Develop OS-agnostic Python automation solutions supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms.
- Design automation frameworks and reusable components for automotive testing and validation activities.
- Integrate and automate CARLA and CarMaker simulation environments for virtual testing.
- Develop interfaces and automation utilities for communication between simulation platforms, test frameworks, and HIL hardware.
- Work with and maintain reusable libraries including P736, CX735, S750, and U758.
- Develop, package, version, and distribute Python libraries in .whl format.
- Contribute to technical documentation covering architecture, APIs, and usage guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience required.
- 4+ years of experience in Test Automation, Automation Engineering, Python Development, or Automotive Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and development of automation frameworks.
- Experience in developing OS-agnostic/cross-platform applications.
- Strong understanding of Python packaging, dependency management, and virtual environments.
- Hands-on experience in HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, or SOME/IP.
- Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, and version control.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or Electrical.
