Operations Engineer

Role Overview

As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and manage delivery for production systems and services. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, support, and maintenance of the infrastructure engineering tooling estate, including observability platforms, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-augmented operations tooling. This role ensures that platforms enabling Cloud, Network, Security, Database, and Voice teams remain available, performant, and fit for purpose.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain observability platforms such as Splunk and ELK, ensuring dashboards, alert rules, and data pipelines remain operational.
• Triage and resolve observability platform incidents including broken scrapers, missing metrics, and failed log ingestion.
• Manage alert configuration and tuning in Alertmanager to reduce noise.
• Operate ELK stack or Splunk log pipelines, managing index lifecycle and ingest pipeline health.
• Manage Xmatters escalation policies, on-call schedules, and alert routing rules.
• Support Jira and Confluence platform operations, including project configurations and workflow rules.
• Monitor and support AI-augmented operations tooling, including LLM runbook automation pipelines and agentic ITSM workflows.
• Monitor LLMOps pipelines, tracking prompt execution logs, model API health, and token usage.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring platform incidents across observability, IaC, CI/CD, and AI tooling.
• Support audit and compliance activities for PCI DSS, SOX, and FSI regulatory reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Proven experience in observability operations, specifically with Splunk or ELK.
• Experience with Terraform operations, including state file management and workspace administration across AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in CI/CD operations using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Experience managing secrets with HashiCorp Vault.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI and LLM orchestration.
