Fall Graduate Intern

Role Overview

ACE is looking for a graduate-level Fall Intern to join our team during a pivotal moment leading into the 2026 election cycle. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on research, organization, and political problem-solving. You will work on projects that bridge policy, data, and coalition development, gaining an inside view of democracy work that combines on-the-ground organizing with systems-level thinking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-election research to support strategic planning, including tracking polls, mapping candidates, and following ballot measures.
• Support the Election Observation Program by preparing materials and logistics for election-day operations.
• Research and map organizations, stakeholders, and potential funders to strengthen national reform networks.
• Maintain outreach and partnership pipelines by keeping engagement systems organized.
• Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and event logistics.
• Represent ACE at community or partner events and attend internal/coalition meetings to prepare concise updates.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Public Policy, Political Science, International Affairs, Communications, or related field).
• Strong qualitative research and writing skills with the ability to explain complex political stories.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a remote team setting.
• Familiarity with U.S. elections, public policy, or civic engagement.
• Experience with writing, research projects, or student organizations.
