Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Platform Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. This role involves ownership and maintenance of build frameworks, automation solutions involving containerized applications, orchestration platforms, monitoring solutions, and cloud-based test environments. You will work across the software development lifecycle to improve application/platform reliability, scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based microservices and automation tools.
- Enhance and support platform automation frameworks and develop reusable solutions.
- Create and maintain Shell/Bash scripts for installations, upgrades, and deployments.
- Design, maintain, and optimize complex CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Build and maintain Docker-based applications and support Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Monitor systems using Grafana and Prometheus.
- Collaborate with Software Development, QA, DevOps, and Operations teams to drive operational excellence.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python 3 development.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and build systems like SBT.
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in configuration management using Ansible.
- Experience with Linux environments such as RHEL, Rocky Linux, or Oracle Enterprise Linux.
