Network Engineer

Role Overview

Aion is an enterprise AI platform providing a full-stack solution for building, fine-tuning, and deploying AI at scale. We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate highly available, secure, and scalable network infrastructure. You will build resilient environments that support high-performance computing, cloud-native applications, and large-scale enterprise deployments, ensuring networking serves as a robust backbone for distributed AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Architect enterprise-grade networking solutions supporting AI infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and GPU workloads.
• Manage networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Design secure hybrid connectivity using VPNs, Direct Connect, or ExpressRoute.
• Implement secure networking practices including firewalls, network segmentation, and Zero Trust principles.
• Automate network provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, investigating latency and connectivity issues impacting AI workloads.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing and managing enterprise or cloud network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, and ingress controllers.
• Familiarity with Linux networking and troubleshooting tools like tcpdump and Wireshark.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
