Role Overview
Airbus is looking for a Software Engineer to join in Bangalore, India. As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing and deploying robust, scalable and secure cloud-native software applications. You will be a core contributor to our modern digital ecosystem, bridging the gap between full-stack application development, cloud infrastructure and data-driven systems. This position requires a versatile, experienced engineer capable of handling backend workflows, modern frontend architectures, cloud infrastructure automation and efficient data processing pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Development : Build and maintain highly responsive web applications using modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React) and robust backend runtimes (NodeJS, .NET Core, Python).
- API & Real-time Integration : Design and optimize secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and implement real-time communication architectures using Web Sockets.
- Cloud Architecture & Serverless : Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging the AWS Ecosystem, focusing on serverless paradigms, high availability and scalability.
- Data Engineering & ETL : Design and execute optimized ETL pipelines to manage data ingestion, transformation and storage across distributed relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database architectures.
- Infrastructure as Code & DevOps : Drive modern DevOps workflows by containerizing services with Docker, provisioning secure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and utilizing Git for collaborative version control.
- Collaboration & Agile Practices : Partner with product owners, system architects and global cross-functional teams to translate aerospace business requirements into clean, production-ready and well-tested code.
- Resolving Incident/Defects/Bugs.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 3 to 6 years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrating progression into mid-level execution and autonomous problem-solving.
Backend & Integration Technologies
- Deep hands-on experience building enterprise-grade backend services with NodeJS and .NET Core.
- Strong scripting and core programming capabilities in Python.
- Expertise in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and scalable, event-driven network connections using Web Sockets.
Frontend Web Frameworks
- Solid production experience with modern frontend components, specifically Angular or React.
- Strong command of type-safe asynchronous programming using TypeScript and JavaScript.
Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps
- Proven experience with core AWS Infrastructure services: EC2, Elastic Load Balancers (ALB) and secure cloud networking practices.
- Strong background in AWS Serverless architectures, including Lambda functions and complex state orchestration via Step Functions.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for automated environment provisioning.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and standard Git workflows (branching strategies, PR reviews, CI/CD pipelines).
Data Management
- Strong proficiency in relational database management systems (SQL), schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with schema-less, distributed NoSQL databases.
- Proven capability to build and maintain automated batch or stream-based ETL processes.
Soft Skills & Methodologies
- Good communication & Advanced level of English, Active listening.
- Quick learner who can learn a new technology/skill/application.
- Knowledge on Waterfall / Agile/ SAFe project methodologies and Versionone/JIRA/Gsuite is a must.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
