Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Embedded Device Tester to validate the functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of embedded hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing embedded devices, executing test plans, identifying and troubleshooting defects, validating firmware and hardware, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test procedures for embedded devices.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
- Validate embedded hardware and firmware against product specifications and requirements.
- Test and validate communication interfaces and protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
- Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects using defect management tools.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Prepare detailed test reports and maintain accurate testing documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in embedded systems or embedded device testing.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and microcontrollers.
- Basic knowledge of C/C++.
- Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting for test automation.
- Familiarity with Embedded Linux and/or RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
