Software Development Engineer -Backend

Role Overview

As a Backend Developer at Part Analytics, an Altium Company, you will play a major role in software product development. You will be responsible for analyzing requirements, deciding technical approaches, and developing high-quality, secure, and high-performance applications. This includes development, writing unit and high-level test cases, and ensuring the delivery of quality software.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality applications.
• Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and user story creation.
• Design and implement testable and scalable code.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Utilize Gitlab/Github repositories for source control.
• Collaborate successfully with frontend developers.
• Ensure accurate estimation and timely completion of tasks.
• Contribute to process improvements to drive efficiency and efficacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent from a reputed university.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with backend programming languages such as NodeJS.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
• Strong foundation of relational database systems like PostgreSQL with complex SQL queries.
• Experience using source control such as Git.
• Knowledge of web server/app server configuration and deployment on AWS.
• Understanding of security, data protection, algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
