Role Overview
The Platform Engineering Engineer 3 supports the design, management, and optimization of cloud and infrastructure platforms to ensure performance, reliability, and security. This role focuses on automation, modern infrastructure practices, and collaboration across engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business outcomes. You will contribute to project teams and cross-department initiatives, working independently on defined tasks while receiving guidance on broader technical strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document infrastructure and database automation components.
- Build and maintain cloud and platform solutions using automation, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies.
- Support containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Participate in incident investigation, troubleshooting, and on-call support using structured operational processes.
- Continuously improve platform capabilities by following technology trends and contributing enhancements to the engineering community.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
- Experience working with Linux systems (e.g., Red Hat distributions) and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using languages such as Python and shell scripting, as well as version control and continuous integration tools (Git, Jenkins).
- Experience with one or more cloud providers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OpenStack), container platforms, and exposure to artificial intelligence (AI) technologies at scale.
