Role Overview
As a Platform Engineering Engineer 4 within the Global Storage Engineering team, you'll help design, implement, and optimize cloud storage solutions that support applications across the Amadeus Cloud Platform. You'll work with modern cloud technologies, automation tools, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable storage services.
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and govern Microsoft Azure storage services, ensuring they meet business, security, compliance, and performance requirements.
- Develop and maintain storage automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible.
- Design and support data replication and disaster recovery solutions to improve service resilience and availability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve storage, infrastructure, and operational issues.
- Contribute to operational quality through stability, security, compliance, performance monitoring, and cost optimization (FinOps) initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Azure storage technologies, including Azure Files, Azure NetApp Files, Azure Blob Storage, managed disks, and related networking concepts.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including storage and infrastructure services.
- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and programming languages such as Go or Python.
- Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and modern cloud-native operational practices.
- Experience supporting incident, problem, and change management processes within Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
