Role Overview

The Data Engineer will own the data infrastructure for the Reverse Logistics Team, collaborating with software development teams to build and maintain a highly scalable, reliable, and efficient data system. You will work with analytic tools, write excellent SQL scripts, optimize query performance, and partner with internal customers to answer key business questions within an agile team at the Amazon Hyderabad Development Center.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and support massively scalable, distributed data warehousing, querying, and reporting systems.
• Build and maintain data infrastructure to support a fast-growing business.
• Optimize performance of SQL queries for large-scale, complex datasets.
• Partner with internal customers to drive data-driven business decisions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in one or more query languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, HiveQL, or SparkSQL.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or KornShell.
• Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale datasets.
• Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
