Frontend Developer - Contingent

Role Overview

Aretum is seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to provide expert technical support, maintenance, and enhancement of a client application. You will ensure accessibility, reliability, and optimal performance within an Agile, sprint-based development environment, leveraging AWS and modern web technologies to deliver scalable, user-focused applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to maintain the client application
• Support development, enhancements, accessibility, integration, and optimization
• Ensure application availability and correct operations
• Work within a sprint-based development cycle
• Utilize AWS cloud environment, Python backend, and TypeScript front-end

Requirements

• 3 years of frontend development experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and Responsive Design
• Proficiency in JavaScript development using modern standards and libraries
• Understanding of Section 508 compliance and WCAG standards
• Experience with accessibility testing tools (automated and manual)
• Capability to consume RESTful APIs
• Experience using Agile methodologies and version control systems
• Experience creating web layouts from static images and templates in full-stack frameworks
