Role Overview
As a UI/UX Designer Intern (unpaid), you will work full time in a remote capacity, collaborating with designers and developers to support the creation of intuitive and visually appealing digital products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting in user research, designing user interfaces, creating wireframes and mockups, and refining visual design elements for web and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in user research, designing user interfaces, creating wireframes and mockups, and refining visual design elements for web and mobile applications.
- Participating in brainstorming sessions and helping translate product requirements into user flows.
- Supporting usability testing and iteration based on feedback.
- Contributing to frontend handoff documentation and maintaining design consistency across projects.
- Learning best practices in UI/UX design within an agile environment.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in User Interface Design and Visual Design, with an eye for layout, typography, and color.
- Ability to create Mockups and basic wireframes that clearly communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Understanding of User Experience (UX) principles, user flows, and usability best practices.
- Basic familiarity with Front-End Development concepts (HTML, CSS, JS) to collaborate effectively with developers.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or course in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
- Portfolio or samples showcasing UI/UX or visual design work.
