Role Overview
The Data Engineer plays a key role in strengthening the analytics capabilities within ASSA ABLOY Group, with a strong focus on the Microsoft Power BI and Fabric ecosystem. The role combines data engineering and business intelligence development, ensuring scalable, high-quality analytics solutions that support business decision-making. The position requires a proactive and independent working style, strong technical proficiency in modern data platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and analytical solutions.
- Build, automate, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric components such as Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, Notebooks, and OneLake.
- Integrate and prepare data from diverse sources including cloud services, REST APIs, on-premises databases, and third-party platforms.
- Define requirements and KPIs together with stakeholders, ensuring data governance, security, and performance tuning.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain analytics workflows to secure high availability and data quality.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, report development).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniques.
- Practical expertise with Microsoft Fabric components such as OneLake, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks.
- Experience building, testing, and maintaining robust, scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
- Experience integrating data through APIs and working with JSON/XML formats.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services and general cloud concepts.
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
