Java Backend Developer

Role Overview

Jio Platforms is seeking a full-time Backend Developer with 4-5 years of experience to join an Agile development team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and debugging scalable, secure, and reliable web applications within a microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions with an Agile Development team.
• Design, develop and debug web applications ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
• Deploy solutions to Docker containers and Kubernetes.
• Create and maintain documentation related to design and development.
• Participate in code and design reviews of peers to ensure code quality.
• Participate in the creation and review of test plans and test cases.
• Estimate development time accurately and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4 to 5 years of experience in Java programming.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+ features (Streams, Lambdas, etc.).
• At least 3 years of experience with Spring Boot.
• Sound knowledge of RESTful web services and API development.
• Familiarity with databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Hibernate / JPA and Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Degree in B.E., B.Tech, BCS, MCS, MSc, or M.Tech in Computer Science.
