Role Overview
Atomionics is revolutionizing resource exploration through quantum sensing using atom-interferometry. Based in the Amaravati Quantum Valley, the India team plays a critical role in the field deployment of Quantum Gravimeters. As an Electronics Engineer, you will prototype, test, refine, and produce designs to improve sensor performance, making them compact and robust for global field deployment within an interdisciplinary team of physicists and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field trials and deployment of atom-interferometry based Quantum Gravimeters, including on-site setup, operation, and troubleshooting
- Conduct PCB-level maintenance, debugging, and design iterations to keep hardware performing as required in the field
- Conduct electronics system assembly, integration, and testing of gravimeters ahead of and during deployment
- Work closely with the physics and firmware teams in cross-functional projects
- Propose and implement new innovative solutions and technologies
Requirements
- Practical experience with electronics projects, including schematic capture and PCB design (e.g., KiCAD)
- Working knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
- Comfortable with prototyping, debugging, and performance testing of boards
- Component knowledge and selection
- Familiarity with microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems
- Working knowledge of common interfaces (SPI, I2C, RS232, USB, CAN)
- Willingness to travel 100% for field deployments and work in on-site conditions
Nice to Have
- Exposure to power electronics or signal processing circuit design
