Intern Software Engineer

Role Overview

Attira is an AI stylist in your pocket. Users build a digital wardrobe from clothes they already own, our in-app stylist helps them decide what to wear, combining virtual try-on, outfit planning, wardrobe management, personalized recommendations, and conversational AI in one mobile app. The app is live. We're hiring an intern to work on real product features, not practice projects.

Responsibilities

• Build mobile screens from Figma designs using React Native and TypeScript.
• Connect frontend interactions to backend APIs and third-party services.
• Help build AI-powered features like virtual try-on and garment understanding.
• Implement loading, success, empty, and error states for real users.
• Debug across the mobile app, network layer, and backend.
• Handle API keys, environment variables, and user data safely.
• Write maintainable code and document how to run/test it.
• Ship improvements in short cycles based on founder feedback.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of React Native, React, or Expo.
• Comfortable with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and async states.
• Can build a functional UI from a Figma design.
• Some experience creating or connecting a backend endpoint.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Curiosity about AI APIs, multimodal models, or image-generation workflows.
