Python Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Software Engineer to develop and maintain automation frameworks for System and Software Validation of Infotainment and Cockpit Electronics products. The candidate will be responsible for designing robust automation solutions using Python, integrating software components, supporting hardware-based validation environments, and ensuring high-quality software testing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks for Automotive Infotainment and Cockpit System/Software Validation.
• Design and implement scalable and reusable Python-based test automation solutions.
• Develop flowcharts, software layouts, technical specifications, and documentation based on project requirements.
• Write clean, well-designed, maintainable, and testable code.
• Integrate software components into fully functional automation and validation systems.
• Develop and integrate automation framework plugins, modules, and supporting utilities.
• Support hardware setup and configuration required for Infotainment System Validation.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing automation frameworks and validation environments.
• Perform peer reviews and ensure compliance with coding and project quality standards.
• Document and maintain software functionality, test frameworks, and technical specifications.
• Deploy automation solutions and evaluate feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure automation frameworks are updated with new features and project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software, System, Validation, and Hardware teams.
• Follow project plans, internal processes, and applicable automotive industry standards.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in Automotive Software/Application Development or Test Automation.
• Experience working with Automotive Infotainment or Cockpit Electronics systems.
• Strong programming experience in Python 3.8.
• Hands-on experience in Automation Framework Development and Maintenance.
• Experience with automation framework plugins, modules, and software integration.
• Good understanding of hardware setup and system validation for automotive products.
• Experience with Ubuntu 20.04 environment.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Gerrit, and GitLab.
• Experience working with ALM tools for requirements and development lifecycle management.
• Good understanding of software development, integration, debugging, and troubleshooting.
