Quality Assurance Intern

Role Overview

Support the QA process by testing applications, identifying and reporting bugs, and helping ensure software quality through structured testing and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test cases and test scenarios based on product requirements, and participate in requirement discussions to understand application workflows and testing needs
• Execute manual testing for web and mobile applications, and assist in automation testing using testing frameworks or tools
• Identify, document, and report bugs clearly using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, GitHub Issues), and perform regression testing before product releases
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to verify bug fixes and improve product quality
• Help improve QA documentation, testing processes, and testing standards

Requirements

• Undergraduate student or fresh graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience creating test cases and test scenarios, and understanding the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to perform manual testing independently, with basic knowledge of automation testing (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Katalon, Appium, or similar tools)
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, GitHub Issues, or Trello
• Basic understanding of REST API testing using Postman or similar tools is a plus
