Junior Software Engineer - Backend (Golang)

Role Overview

BeBetta is building India’s ultimate commerce rewards platform. We are looking for a curious, high-energy Junior Backend Developer to join our Core Platform Engineering team to help build and maintain Go-based microservices that power high-concurrency reward pipelines, transactional integrations, and gaming APIs.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, performant, and maintainable Golang code for core microservices.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs powering bill uploads, third-party app integrations, and in-app game mechanics.
• Work on backend features that ingest transactional data, parse app activity, and process reward distributions.
• Gain hands-on exposure to caching, transactional consistency, database indexing, and backend scalability patterns.
• Participate in code reviews and learn backend microservices standards.
• Write unit tests, integration tests, and technical documentation.
• Assist in debugging, analyzing application logs, and monitoring performance.

Requirements

• 0–1 year of backend engineering experience (full-time, internships, or production-grade projects).
• Solid understanding of Golang concepts, goroutines, and channels.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and core CS fundamentals.
• Familiarity with building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Basic understanding of caching mechanisms (Redis) and version control (Git).
• Hands-on exposure to Docker and Linux environments is a plus.
