Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical UAT Tester to join our product engineering team on an immediate basis. This role is responsible for validating product functionality from an end-user and business perspective, executing UAT scenarios, identifying defects, and ensuring that product releases meet defined business and functional requirements. As this is an AI-driven product, the candidate will also work closely with data-intensive workflows, validating AI/ML-extracted outputs against source data.
Responsibilities
- Review business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and product workflows to understand expected behavior
- Create and execute UAT test cases, scenarios, and test data covering positive, negative, boundary, and real-world use cases
- Perform end-to-end functional and UAT testing across product workflows
- Validate application outputs against expected business results and source data
- Identify, document, classify, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, screenshots, and supporting evidence
- Perform defect retesting and regression testing after fixes
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Business Analysts, and QA teams to drive issues toward resolution
- Validate new features, enhancements, configuration changes, and production fixes as part of release cycles
- Compare source documents against system-extracted (AI/ML) outputs, validating extracted values, missing values, incorrect values, and incorrect mappings
- Validate business rules, entity relationships, hierarchies, and dependent fields
- Work with structured outputs such as JSON, Excel, and tabular data
- Perform sample-based accuracy validation and maintain ground-truth/reference data where required
- Maintain UAT test cases, execution results, defect logs, and test evidence
- Provide UAT status, risks, blockers, and test results to stakeholders
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in UAT / Functional Testing / Software Testing
- Insurance domain experience is a must (underwriting, policy, or claims workflows)
- Hands-on experience testing AI/ML or data-driven applications
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies
- Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios
- Strong defect identification and defect management skills
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect-management platforms
- Good understanding of web-based applications and end-to-end business workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote Product and Engineering teams
