Back End Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and motivated Back-end Developer to join our team. As a Back-end Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and distributed systems. You will be responsible for creating efficient, reliable, and scalable backend services that power our applications and provide excellent user experiences.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with modern back-end technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of distributed data systems, performance optimization, and concurrency. NOTE: Preferred experience range: 2-4 Years

Candidates must be open to work within USA time zones EST/EDT and PST/PDT hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain back-end services using Golang or Node.js.
• Build, manage, and scale systems on AWS infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL databases, ensuring optimal query performance and database design.
• Work closely with front-end developers and other team members to deliver seamless and scalable solutions.
• Write and maintain efficient, well documented, and reusable code.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment processes.
• Resolve race conditions, concurrency issues, and improve overall system performance through efficient solutions.
• Profile and optimize code for performance, scalability, and low-latency operations.
• Leverage your deep understanding of advanced data structures and algorithms to tackle complex problems.
• Continuously improve the backend infrastructure by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing system reliability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Back-end development, specifically with Golang or Node.js.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Solid experience with the Linux operating system, including scripting and system administration.
• Expertise in CI/CD workflows, including tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Deep understanding of concurrency, with a proven ability to identify and resolve race conditions using effective synchronization techniques.
• Experience in profiling and tuning code to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, with the ability to implement complex algorithms to solve performance-sensitive tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

• Familiarity with GO, C++ and OOPs based design.
• Familiarity with Postgres databases.
• Experience in developing high-performance systems in multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of writing tests in Golang, including unit and integration testing using tools like the native testing package, Testify, and Gomock.
• Knowledge of AI models and LLMs, including API integration with tools like OpenAI or Anthropic for building AI-powered backend features and services.
• Knowledge of database scaling strategies, including read replicas, sharding, partitioning, load balancing, caching mechanisms, and high-availability configurations for handling large-scale data.
