Backend Developer Intern

Role Overview

We're looking for a Backend Developer Intern who is passionate about backend development and eager to gain hands-on experience building scalable applications. You'll work alongside experienced developers on real-world backend systems, API integrations, databases, and automation projects in the e-commerce domain. This internship is a great opportunity to strengthen your Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL skills while contributing to production-level applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases, including schema updates, queries, and Prisma ORM.
• Support integration with third-party REST APIs.
• Learn and contribute to asynchronous processing and queue-based systems.
• Debug backend issues and help improve application performance and data accuracy.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with developers during code reviews and feature implementation.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Node.js and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) fundamentals.
• Familiarity with REST APIs.
• Basic understanding of SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Prisma ORM.
• Basic understanding of asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await).
• Exposure to Next.js or Express.js.
• Basic knowledge of Docker, Redis, or AWS is a plus.
• Personal projects or GitHub repositories demonstrating backend development.
