Role Overview
As a Software Engineer within the Global Fixed Income Team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software components. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery through rigorous testing, defect tracking, and collaboration with stakeholders to meet functional and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software components in line with functional and technical requirements
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and regression scenarios to validate software quality
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance support
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define quality criteria
- Support automation efforts by contributing to test scripts and reusable validation frameworks
- Monitor application behaviour, analyse root causes of issues, and recommend improvements
- Use Git and defect tracking platforms to support collaborative delivery
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Knowledge of manual testing, defect tracking, and test case design
- Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools such as Selenium
- Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
- Awareness of API testing and integration testing concepts
