Role Overview
Bluebenz Digitalization is looking for a skilled Perl Script & Batch DOS Command Developer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Perl scripting, Windows Batch (CMD/DOS) scripting, and Python. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation scripts, supporting legacy applications, processing data, and building reliable workflows for enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automation scripts using Perl and Windows Batch (.bat/.cmd).
- Build workflows for scheduled tasks, file transfers, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
- Create scripts for data parsing, validation, transformation, and processing.
- Support and maintain legacy applications and command-line utilities.
- Integrate scripts with third-party systems, APIs, and enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot and optimize script performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control for all developed scripts.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Operations teams to support deployment and automation.
- Convert existing Perl scripts into Python and develop Python-based automation and data processing pipelines.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Perl Scripting.
- Experience in writing and debugging Windows Batch/DOS (CMD) scripts.
- Good knowledge of Windows Command-Line Environment.
- Experience with file handling and processing (CSV, TXT, XML, JSON).
- Knowledge of Regular Expressions and text processing.
- Experience with file system operations, automation, and log management.
- Familiarity with Windows Task Scheduler, Control-M, or similar scheduling tools.
- Hands-on experience with Python and the ability to convert Perl logic into Python scripts.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
