Role Overview
The Associate Software Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions across BM Labs’ product and client portfolios. You will implement back-end features, write clean code, fix bugs, and collaborate with senior engineers to improve system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Implementing back-end features and writing clean, efficient code.
- Fixing bugs and improving system performance and reliability.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to technical documentation.
- Assisting in the integration of data and analytics components into applications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Testing, debugging, and optimizing applications.
- Automating repetitive business processes and internal workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as NodeJs, Python, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including APIs and databases.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Ability to use version control practices like Git.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
