Data Science Intern

Role Overview

BNP Paribas is recruiting interns for the Global Market Data and Artificial Intelligence Lab within the Global Markets division. The Lab mission is to leverage the latest techniques of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing on vast amounts of structured and unstructured data to improve client services, assist traders in risk management, and leverage alternative data sources.

Responsibilities

• Build models to improve client services, such as issuing recommendations and anticipating needs.
• Help traders better understand and manage their risks.
• Leverage alternative data sources like social media, news, and images for strategists.
• Extract valuable insights from large amounts of diverse data.
• Experiment with different approaches to find optimal solutions for complex problems.

Requirements

• Education in Data Science or a related quantitative field.
• Experience in solving complex problems with a deep understanding of how and why models work.
• Motivation to work with large, diverse datasets.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and embrace experimentation.
• Availability for a 6-month internship duration.
