Role Overview

This role focuses on conducting cutting-edge research in Neuro-Symbolic AI, integrating formal knowledge representations like knowledge graphs with modern machine learning and deep learning to develop multimodal assistant systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in Neuro-Symbolic AI, focusing on the integration of knowledge graphs with machine learning.
- Design multimodal data pipelines integrating text, structured data, and visual or sensor information.
- Develop knowledge-driven AI systems with natural language interaction for explainable and trustworthy AI.
- Integrate Neuro-Symbolic reasoning with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal foundation models.
- Design and evolve semantic assets such as ontologies, knowledge graphs, and symbolic rules.
- Prototype, evaluate, and validate research concepts through experiments and benchmarks.
- Collaborate with international, cross-disciplinary teams to apply innovations to business scenarios.
- Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and contribute to intellectual property.
Requirements
- Ph.D., M.S., or M. Tech in Computer Science or related fields (NLP, Linguistics, AI, Cognitive Science) from top institutes like IITs, IIITs, or IISc.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional or applied research experience.
- Expertise in Neuro-Symbolic AI Architectures and hybrid AI systems.
- Proficiency in building data pipelines for multi-modal integration.
- Practical experience with NLP frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, NLTK, or Gensim.
- Experience in extracting structured knowledge using NER and Relation Extraction.
- Experience with graph libraries like RDFlib, KGLab, or PyTorch Geometric.
- Ability to use visualization tools like Gephi or D3.js.
