Software Engineer Intern

Role Overview

Branch is a leading AI-powered lending fintech with 50M+ downloads. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers to brainstorm, design, code, debug, and ship features serving millions of customers over a 4-6 month period.

Responsibilities

• Build out functionality for existing and new product lines and platforms such as Credit, Payments, KYC, and Data Platforms.
• Integrate with various third-party systems, including payment systems, identity providers, and messaging platforms.

Requirements

• Experience building backend applications that go beyond toy projects (real users or open source projects are a plus).
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, distributed systems, and data storage.
• Proficiency with various flavors of Unix and command line utilities.
• Proficiency with at least one mainstream language like Python, Ruby, Java, or Kotlin.
• Highly entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative.
• Strong collaborator and communicator comfortable working in a distributed team.
