Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend WordPress Developer to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites and backend functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites and backend systems.
• Customize WordPress themes, plugins, and core functionality.
• Develop custom plugins and WordPress features as required.
• Work with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services.
• Troubleshoot bugs, errors, and performance issues.
• Optimize websites for speed, security, and scalability.
• Manage databases and perform regular website updates.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members.
• Ensure websites are responsive, secure, and technically optimized.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of WordPress and PHP.
• Good understanding of MySQL/database management.
• Experience with WordPress themes and plugin development.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git/version control is an advantage.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant WordPress development experience.
