Software Engineer Professional

Role Overview

The Software Engineering Professional supports the execution of BTs software engineering strategy through cross-functional delivery, contributing to the development of technical solutions and platforms that enable innovation and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices following API-first and domain-driven design principles.
• Build responsive frontend applications using React knowledge.
• Design event-driven and asynchronous systems using messaging platforms.
• Design and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, including serverless solutions with AWS Lambda and storage via Amazon S3.
• Work with containerized applications using Docker and support deployment on ECS/EKS environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
• Implement secure coding practices and authentication using OAuth2 and JWT.
• Implement application monitoring using Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and Security teams in Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Proficiency in backend development with Java or Node.js.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker.
• Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to implement security protocols and follow OWASP guidelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
