Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled NetDevOps Engineer to join our growing network automation and engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting automation solutions that accelerate network delivery, improve operational efficiency, and reduce risk across enterprise network environments. This role combines strong networking expertise with software development and DevOps practices, requiring close collaboration with Network Engineering, Architecture, Operations, and Product teams to design and implement innovative NetDevOps capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain network automation solutions using Python and Ansible.
- Build self-service automation capabilities for network provisioning, configuration management, compliance validation, and operational tasks.
- Develop integrations with network management platforms, IPAM systems, ticketing systems, CMDBs, and monitoring platforms.
- Create reusable automation frameworks, APIs, and tooling to support enterprise network operations.
- Develop automated testing solutions for network changes and deployments.
- Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity.
- Maintain source control repositories and branch strategies using Git.
- Develop, test, and debug code using Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code best practices.
- Automate software validation, deployment, and rollback procedures.
- Support containerized and cloud-native automation workflows where appropriate.
- Work closely with Network Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and operational challenges.
- Liaise directly with engineering stakeholders to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and develop new NetDevOps features.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance through automation.
- Develop monitoring, reporting, and health-check capabilities for network services.
- Create documentation, technical standards, support guides, and operational runbooks.
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities across automation platforms and network infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking principles.
- Experience with technologies such as: Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, F5, Infoblox, and Routing & Switching.
