Devops Engineer II

Role Overview

Candescent is a forward-thinking technology company transforming how financial institutions deliver Intelligent Banking experiences. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our development and operational workflows, playing a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, scripting automation tasks, and managing tools like GitHub and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation of various tasks, including deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
• Configure, manage, and optimize Jenkins for build automation, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Administer and manage GitHub repositories, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Manage JIRA projects, workflows, and integrations to support agile development processes.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software products.
• Ensure security best practices are followed in all aspects of the development and deployment processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role or similar position.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy).
• Experience with Jenkins administration and optimization.
• Solid understanding of GitHub and version control systems.
• Experience with JIRA administration and agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
