Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate Couchbase clusters across on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
- Develop, test, and document automation components using configuration management, Infrastructure as Code, and application programming interfaces (APIs).
- Build and operate containerized solutions using Kubernetes and Docker to support scalable database services.
- Participate in incident investigation, troubleshooting, and shared on‑call support using well‑defined operational processes.
- Continuously improve platform capabilities by following technology trends and contributing enhancements to the engineering community.
Requirements
- Relevant professional experience in platform engineering, database operations, or DevOps roles, with strong exposure to Couchbase technologies.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat distributions) and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using languages such as Python and shell scripting, as well as version control and continuous integration tools (Git, Jenkins).
- Experience with one or more cloud providers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OpenStack) and container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Monitoring tool experience also like Grafana, Splunk and ArgoCD, Helm experiences.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural, cross‑functional environments.
